I was born in the north of Spain and I grew up in a big family, so I have always been surrounded by children. I always knew, since very young, that I wanted to dedicate my professional life to education in early years. I consider myself privileged to work with babies, very young children and their families.
I completed a Bachelor´s Degree in Early Years Teaching in 2008and a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology in 2010. I therefore hold the (QTS) Qualified Teacher Status, recognised in England. I came to London looking for opportunities to expand my knowledge and experience and also to get to know different systems of education.
I did the NVQ 3 in Children´s Care, Learning and Development in 2010-2011 and I completed the Level 5 Diploma in Early Years Leadership and Management in 2013, which gave me a solid base to grow as a leader.
I started my journey at the ASNS in the Baby Room in 2010. In 2011 I moved to class 3, the Preschool to be the Room Leader, where I grew professionally more than I ever imagined I would. In 2013, I took over the position of Deputy Manager and then in 2014, I was promoted to Manager of the nursery. I am delighted to have the opportunity to have such a positive impact on all these very young children’s lives at Anglo Spanish.
I am passionate about working with very young children and families, and committed to ensure we provide them with a safe, stimulating, fun, diverse and nurturing environment. I strongly believe that loving and qualified staff are paramount for a quality care and education, as well as working in partnership with families for the benefit of the children, the priority of all.
Hi my name is Afet, I come from a big family 2 older sisters and loads of nephews and nieces, I have been in childcare for 8years and have enjoyed every moment throughout my journey. I enjoy reading and exploring new adventures, during my spare time I enjoy explore new places and spending time with friends and family.

I am the Operations Manager for Cranbrook Independent Nursery & Pre-School, Working Mums Daycare & Pre-School and Castle Nursery & Pre-School group of nurseries. I have worked in the childcare industry for more than 30 years and have two children of my own. Prior to being Operations Manager, I was a Nursery Manager in the Cranbrook group of nurseries having started as a Nursery Practitioner.
As Operations Manager I am accountable for the development of each nursery to ensure they are equipped with the manpower, expert knowledge and training required to ensure compliance with the Children’s Act and to follow the guidelines laid down by Ofsted/National Standards/EYFS to enable all children to be developed in a safe and secure environment, to reach their full potential. I love the challenge of the role, and most importantly I relish contributing to your child’s happiness.
